Unsafe Welding – Who Shall Protect Them?

Who shall protect them?

When you type “unsafe welding” in internet search, this picture will show up.  Everyone with some knowledge in welding safety will know that this is seriously wrong.  Not only that the man is not protected from the welding hazards, he is in fire risk too.  The newspaper he used for face shield can catch fire.

It is hard to believe that such thing could happen but in fact you can find this quite common in many workshops.

The man is exposed to every welding hazards you can imagine, heat, radiation, toxic fume and fire.  Yet, many, including this welder, or even his employer, claimed that this is how they work and they have been doing this for long time.  “Nothing has happened” is what they always claimed.

Would you allow your workers to work like this?
